Lydia Grindatto, soprano, holds a Bachelor's of Music from the University of New Mexico, where she sang several leading roles with the UNM Opera Theatre, as well as performed as a soloist in several sacred works. During her studies at UNM, Lydia was the soprano soloist in Schubert’s mass in D with the University of New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, as well as in Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis and Schubert’ Mass no. 2 in G with chamber orchestra. Lydia has also been a featured soloist with several choirs in New Mexico and has performed solos in a variety of genres, from baroque to contemporary. Recently, Lydia has performed with Opera Southwest as a chorus member in Norma, Tosca, and Lohengrin, as well as covered the title role in Tosca and performed the role of First Page in Lohengrin.
