Corey Sweeney earned her Master of Music degree in oboe performance from the University of New Mexico and her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of New Hampshire. She performs in Albuquerque, NM and the surrounding areas, and additionally operates her own business making oboe reeds for sale. Her interest in early music has led her to also study the two-keyed baroque oboe with MaryAnn Shore. She has played this instrument in Santa Fe-based Turquoise Trail Baroque. A native of New England, Ms. Sweeney was a winner of the University of Massachusetts Boston Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2016 and was one of the original members of the Me2/Boston Orchestra.
